History

The ELCI was first established in Monmouth, Oregon in 1986. Over the last 30 years, it has helped many international students from all over the world to succeed in American high schools and universities. Thanks to the support of our partners and our students, we were able to open our second center in Albany, Oregon in 2012 on the campus of Linn-Benton Community College. Our newest center in Salt Lake City, Utah opened its doors in January 2020.

Mission Statement

Connecting Students on their journey through language and culture; Be a beacon of culture, language, and love. Culture, Language, Individual, Fun, and Family!

Teaching Philosophy

Individual attention to each one of our students! We know every one of our students. Our classes are small and we also provide one-on-one tutoring from our professional teachers! Our students are able to improve rapidly with our supportive teachers and staff. Environment makes a big difference! Our dedicated teachers motivate our students with real-life materials. Students use English not only in class but also outside of school in our fun weekly activities. We believe that practice makes perfect and that learning can and should be FUN!
