Who is the Full-Time English Program for?

The Full-Time English program is an academic program that is made for students who want to improve their English quickly to enter American high schools, universities, or to pass international English proficiency tests such as IELTS or TOEFL. Our professional and caring teachers will make sure you’re on the right track. Every effort is made to ensure you learn in a safe and interactive environment that fosters intercultural and educational growth.

Full-Time English

Full-time student: 20 hours a week

Part-time student: 15 hours a week

Age Requirement

ELCI-Monmouth: 14 years old

ELCI-Albany: 17 years old

ELCI-Salt Lake: 17 years old

Options After ELCI

Western Oregon University (WOU)

Half-Half Program

After studying at the General Intensive English program at the ELCI, students with sufficient TOEFL or IELTS scores can participate in the Half-Half Program with Western Oregon University (WOU) and if successful can matriculate into the full-time academic program in the university.

Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC)

ELCI students who meet all of the following requirements can enter LBCC through ELCI:

  1. Have a paper-based TOEFL score of 475 or higher (with director recommendation)
  2. Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the ELCI
  3. Maintain 80% attendance at the ELCI

Students must also pass the LBCC Reading Test. LBCC’s admissions office determines acceptance.
